With 86% of BallotBoxes being "opened" the proWestern woman is ahead (51.5%).
The ambassies in London, Paris and Frankfort didn't have enough BallotPapers - 200.000 voted abroad, 30.000 TransNistrians. The EC's TurnOut-map looks also very promising for the woman: High participation in Chisinov (but also in Gagausia, which favours Dodon).

The same candidates as in 2016 - cries for a comparison of the results (on the top are the biggest %-swings from Mr.Dodon to Ms.Sandu):

Ms.Sandu would have won also without any of the 260.000 DiasporaVotes:

Ms.Sandu would have won also without any of the 260.000 DiasporaVotes:
I'm all in favour of the citizen diaspora being allowed to vote in election (both in the UK and in general), but the fact they made up almost a third of all votes looks quite alarming and even dangerous. It's quite easy to see a situation where a candidate loses internal voters by some margin, but wins overall using the vote of the diaspora.

Note that almost no-one in Transdnistria bothered to vote.

It nearly happened in Croatia's PresidentialElection of 2014/5.

Note that almost no-one in Transdnistria bothered to vote. It shouldn't even really be part of Moldova, it was a wheeze of Stalin's to dilute the ethnic homogeneity of the Moldavian SSR after he'd stolen Bessarabia from pre-war Romania.

Aren't a fairly significant number of Transnistrians Russian immigrants (not recent, but from the Soviet era)? That was another of the favourite ways for the USSR to assert its control over its disparate SSRs.
A quick check of the ever reliable Wikipedia tell me that in the Moldavian SSR, there were 158,100 (6.7%) ethnic Russians in the 1941 census compared to 562,069 (13%) in the 1989 one. Whilst there were more Moldovans than anyone else in the 1989 census of Transnistria (still not much higher than a third), ethnic Russians are in the relative majority today.

That's essentially the reason for Transnistria's irredentism, and why Moldova would be well shot of it. But whether Transnistria would be viable as an independent state must be a moot point. And Ukraine is unlikely to want any more restive Russians within its borders, but would probably want to hang on to its portion of southern Bessarabia. So a reversion to the status quo ante 1940 is unlikely.

There are polling stations opened in Moldova itself for Transnistria voters - and the number of these is a political issues. Pro-Moscoe candidates want more, the pro-EU candidates want less. There have in the past been accusations of "bussing" of electors into Moldova proper.

Note that almost no-one in Transdnistria bothered to vote. Are they actually able to? ~350.000 have a Moldovan PassPort. 30.000 participated. Some proWesterners tried this time to prohibit buses from coming into the country.

But isn't the real issue there arguably the sheer size of the Moldovan disapora, rather than their being able to vote?
