I don't remember it actually happening, but I do remember very well when it was BR, and quite often used it at that time as I studied at the Guildhall School of Music which is in the City. One day I sort of realised "oh, goodness, it's part of the Underground now" perhaps about 2 years after it happened. My usual journey to the GSMD however was from Richmond or Kew Gardens to Broad Street which was quite a short walk from the college, and most people just give you blank looks nowadays if you mention Broad Street station. (Although Paul McCartney paid tribute to it.) Remarkable that Broad Street was once a major goods depot. And had multilingual signage - pointing out that it was not the station for Harwich and the continent. (It was adjacent to Liverpool Street.)

Perhaps the moment it became apparent that McCartney sans Lennon or Laine basically produced shite (although some of the very early 70s solo stuff was decent - I think his problem (which is obviously a strength from some perspectives) was to blow with the wind of contemporary musical styles.

Surrey Heath: Sashi Mylvaganam (Frimley Green) who went from Liberal Democrat to Independent in July, has now joined the Conservatives.

Hertfordshire, Abbots Langley (2025). Sara Bedford, Liberal Democrat to Independent. Hertfordshire, Hemel Hempstead St Paul's. Ron Tindall, Liberal Democrat to Independent.
This is presumably just the county website catching up, since both councillors changed on their respective districts more than a month ago.

The Three Rivers website today still has her ambiguously but intentionally listed as an Independent on the district, but a Liberal Democrat on the county. This has struck me as a rather untenable position and has presumably just reached a resolution.

It seems so - he has now been restored on the website. Still haven't seen a real explanation of why these "website errors" keep occurring. For those keeping track, at the moment on Wandworth's list of councillors, Ravi Govindia (Con, East Putney) has had his name replaced with the text "are they".
