He sounds like your standard rural pro-conservation Tory, to be honest. I'm sure the move didn't help with the desicion

I know Alexis quite well having served with her on an outside body for a number of years. We've actually got a meeting of it on Thursday, I'll be interesting if she'll be a Tory councillor at the point that we meet... Edit: Well, that didn't take long...

Does anyone have information about two apparent defections on Cannock Chase council?
Lisa Wilson (Con) (Hednesford North), elected in 2021, is now shown on the website as Labour. Mandy Dunnett (last recorded as Chase Community Independents) (Heath Hayes East and Wimblebury), elected in 2019, is now shown on the website as Labour.
I cannot find any information about these changes and Open Council Data UK does not appear to have picked them up yet.

Not an entirely untrodden path, including one not far away in Beccles. People can realise the errors of their ways!

The Express and Star and their Local Democracy Report have nothing, I suspect a website glitch. There are a couple of comments on Twitter albeit a few months old suggesting Cllr Dunnett is more a member of the Councillor Party than any other.

They must be creased?

If you Google Cllr Wilson there’s an undated link to the council website describing her as Independent, but click on the link and she comes up as Labour. Also if you add up the political composition based on election results my admittedly poor maths has it 24-10 Conservative (plus LDs and Greens), but the website lists it as 22-12.

It's been reported to me that North Tyneside councillor Cath Davis (Preston ward) has been suspended from the Labour Party and is sitting as an Independent, but the website does not currently agree.

Which is unusual, because at least one Green councillor for Thorpe Hamlet (and I think possibly a second, though that may have been elsewhere in Norwich) ended up defecting to the Tories.

Has she done another anti-semitism? Not that I know of. She's a frequent contributor to the local letters pages and fairly orthodox Labour as far as I can see. Update: I had forgotten that in July 2020 she was accused of liking an unfortunate comment by Maxine Peake.
