largest labour lead we have seen lab 45 Tory 30 would it kill you to post the rest? not when that is all I saw on twitter now I have seen the full one and the approval rating is -38 not sure but I think this is the lowest recorded for this government. Now this looks like a rogue poll BUT if not what has caused the sudden swing, surely not the gay marriage issue ?

The lowest govt approval rating was (I think) -43, at the height of the "Omnishambles" last spring.

What must be gutting for Cameypants is the failure of his speech to have changed much beyond a 2-3% fall in UKIP support - not all in the Tories favour - if anything it's the LDs who oddly seem to have improved recently...

Mrs Thatcher's visit to the USSR in early 1987 helped a great deal towards the Conservatives' re-election that year. Yes - a lot of people probably hoped she fk off back there and stay...

I am sure a lot of us have read Anthony's summary of the poll ukpollingreport.co.uk/of course we know this is a one day snapshot but for 70% to see the Tories as split whilst a good majority support gay marriage shows how wrong many in the Tory party are. Dont they ever learn ? Biggest ever YG poll lead for Labour

The big change from the Sunday Times poll is notable. Is YouGov's methodology for the two identical? Because from memory I recall a few other occasions where the sunday poll has been much closer than the weekly ones, and I'm unsure if that's coincidence or caused by the way it's set up.

The polls are conducted in the same ways for both papers, yes. But there is some anecdotal evidence that the ST survey gets more pro-Tory samples at times (for varying reasons)

is there anywhere with a graph of those polls, preferably with a 7 day rolling average or such like to smooth out some of the statistical noise
