OK.Scrap iain 's damn and replace with bugger bugger bugger bloody bastard bugger. By liking this,I was agreeing with the sentiment from Adam, not liking the result of course. Carlton, on the other hand.... Mind you I had Alderman to win in the prediction comp and expected him to take more votes off us- was not expecting the former councillor's mum to come third. |

Don't get too excited by the Lib Dem gain from Independent in the Rotherham parish by-election in Anston (North).
In 2015 both parish wards were uncontested, returning 8 Independents and 2 No Description, with a further 5 vacancies to be filled by co-option.
A Lib Dem gained a seat from Independents in the by-election in Anston (South) on 8 February 2018 - Lib Dem 448, Independents 112/64
Yesterday's by-election in Anston (North) was again contested by 1 Lib Dem and 2 Independents.
