FG certainly have over nominated so will be feeling burnt They have arguably over nominated but I can't see many, if any, examples where it seems to have cost them a seat. first time Wexford hasn't returned FG TD. Total vote share for FG in Wexford was 15% to SF 14.5% and Labor 13.8% But FG ran two candidates compared to 1 each for labor and SF, and both came through the middle.

They look like taking a seat in Dublin West. Currently around 600 votes behind AON for the final seat but with transfers from SD and Lab to come. He's likely to get overtaken by Labour though when SD preferences go in so I think it's Wipeout. I certainly hope so but I think it will be fairly close.

The change, from an official mark applied to ballot papers by punching holes when they were issued, to being printed on the ballot papers at the start, was made in the Electoral Administration Act 2006. Thanks, I thought it was more recent (it certainly feels like it!).

Even if 100% of Briden Murphy's vote had transferred to Cathal Byrne he would have still missed out on the final seat by around 600 votes.

So far, 97 seats have been filled. By the way, how did sitting TD (ex-SF, now Independent) Violet-Anne Wynne achieve such an appallingly low first preference vote in Clare (310!)?

Keep an eye on Cork North-Central, Dublin West, Dublin South-Central, Cavan-Monaghan, and Donegal in particular. Critical rounds are now taking place.

cultural marxism is not a thing It *is* a thing, but an unimportant fringe thing. The way certain right wingers use it is as close to an actual lie as makes little difference. Cultural marxism was killed by certain right wingers calling out cultural marxism

The 18-24 age group is also where reactionary "influencers" like Andrew Tate seem to have the most sway. Is Andrew Tate actually a real thing or is it a circle wank for left wingers to fret about?

News from Cavan-Monaghan via RTE
Pizza has arrived, which has been described as "quality". "At this rate they'll get through the entire menu," says our Northern Editor Vincent Kearney. We're still awaiting our first elected candidates there.

Dublin South-West: Surplus being transferred from John Lahart now-will it be enough to take Independent candidate and former South Dublin Mayor Alan Edge over the edge (if you will pardon the pun)?

6. Nationalist/racist right candidates have almost uniformly flopped, even Independent councillor Malachy Steenson in Dublin Central will not win a seat. I will keep saying this as long as it needs to be said. There is no far right anymore, they cant even a single seat in a PR type system.
