I'm no fan of the Sweden Democrats, but anything that annoys Sophie in t'Veld must have merit.
Of course, ALDE, like almost every one of these of the European groupings, has some rum characters in it as well.

Is the EPP not considered conservative then?

Is the EPP not considered conservative then? Of course not - it never has been. It's a Christian Democrat outfit . This is why it was always a very poor fit for the UK Conservative party

AfS have launched their campaign #enhalvmiljon, indicating the number of immigrants (half a million) they want out at the very least. 88.000 (makes you think) of them would be immigrants with Swedish citizenship.

Here is their manifesto on that in full if people are interested: alternativforsverige.se/atervandring/They plan to reduce the number of immigrants with Swedish citizenship with financial incentives to renounce their citizenship. I personally find it uncomfortable reading

I personally find it uncomfortable reading Disturbing indeed for it parallels the "de-citizenship" of the Jewish part of the German citizenry in the 1930s. The Elites however have brought it upon themselves (well, not themselves but their window washers and domestics) by forgetting that Newton's third law is: For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction. Brexit, Trump, the Euro-populist wave is all the reaping of the whirlwind that the Elites made in pursuit of their own personal satisfaction/comfort.

Yes, it smells of the BNP's "repatriation" nonsense. It seems pointless and very provocative to include such a relatively small number of Swedish citizens in the removal count. A nasty bunch.

There are now significant divergences between different Swedish polling firms: if you're going to report polling here, you're going to have to report all of it otherwise you're giving a misleading picture. This latest Sentio poll, ftr, actually has the SDs down a point on their last survey.

In March 2018, with the launch of AfS, Yougov told the Metro that the increase picked up in Others was directly related to support for AfS which was quite close to 2,0%. With Mazuz mentioning upthread that Alternativ för Sverige launched their election campaign early this month, then it seems plausible that this YouGov poll may be picking up an uptick in support for AfS? There's been quite a lot of debate about the 4% threshold and the Green Party, Christian Democrats and Liberals all potentially slipping under the threshold. Has there been any discussion about AfS unexpectedly reaching the threshold and upsetting electoral arithmetic further in parliament?
