So it looks like the new election won't actually make any tangible difference then. As anyone could have worked out. The electorate have individually worked out what they think of their country's situation and have decided their votes based on it. The situation hasn't changed and so the votes are unlikely to change very much simply because they now know what they have collectively said. It's very rare that a second general election called in close succession to an indecisive one produces a significantly different result.

There are a lot of parties close to the 5% threshhold. Is Golden Dawn really vulnerable to falling out of parliament, or does Greek polling show a Bradley effect here?

So if a Greek government defaults on repayments, but refuses to leave the euro ?? What then ?? Who knows. I suspect that the next in line countries would see their borrowing costs sky-rocket and there would be a generalised flight to safety. So I expect UK Gilt interest rates would crater, Gold would spike. It would be a mess until somebody worked something out.

And that is 3% of the actual vote so excludes the NV and undecided.

It is indeed a disgrace He does not move his feet and stands square on. She took three of his best shots and stayed up. I think she would take him out if the ref had not intervened. Last I heard he was wanted by the police because that was a breach of his bail conditions.

As I seem to remember reading here that half of the Greek polis voted for Golden Dawn his arrest may take some time.

how come no polls for a while ? is that normal ? I may be wrong, I often am, but I think there's a "no polls for two weeks before an election" law in place in Greece.
