more extensive exit poll gets ND 1.5% ahead on 127 seats with the bonus and with Pasok could have a two party majority coalition.

Andrew Neil The joys of PR and coalitions. Pasok comes a pathetic third but could still be in government.

ND are going to win quite comfortably IMO . Of course under the UK FPTP system they would probably have had a landslide overall majority .

I think I agree with Ian although there is a distinct under reporting from say Athens B (the site says V but I am a classicist and know that a Beta is really a B whatever the degenerate modern language thinks!) which will narrow things somewhat

just some comments
Blimey, PASOK. Refusing to join a gvmnt without SYRIZA. Very sensible from their political point of view, but makes things, er, interesting.
Telling exit poll stat: Syriza leads among 18-34s AND 35-54s. If center-right wins, will be entirely due to seniors: bit.ly/IxZZbb

someone summed it up nicely
SYRIZA says no coalition. New Democracy says grand coalition. PASOK says will only work if SYRIZA is in. See you in 6 weeks

PASOK could reject the bailout and go with Syriza

See you in 6 weeks When is the next tranche of money due to be handed over to Greece's debtors (owners?). I think another GE might be on the wrong side of that. And I don't think Mutti will play ball. Fartheless as Iain says the CSU and FDP.

Been following the margin for the last half hour.
At 21.20 it was 4.76% and 82127 At 21.50 it was 4.41% and 100391 (40.22% of districts reported
So it appears thatthe later districts are being less good for ND but they are still winning them.
The seat figures are also now up. The one that did not work in May of ND/Pasok now has the seats but Ian reports no longer the political will, The right wing coalition with the Independent Greeks does currently have 151/300 but I suspect these later results will kill that off. Anyway that is non meeting of minds on the debts.

Lol RT @tconnellyrte: BREAKING: Tsipras has called Samaras to congratulate him, declined to take part in coalition, urged ND to form govt
PASOK calling for an immediate government of national unity for a country deeply divided in a continent on the verge of panic...

They seemed happy to go with ND before, can't see why they won't now. Because it might finally finish them off? How low can their support go before they are no longer viable as a "big" party??
