16 entries this week with Dibs re-appearing, PhilDav76 on his honeymoon (bad planning as he should be away next week!!), ianrobo playing truant and Arthur Figgis and Kristofer Keane again absent.
erlend gets 8 x 5 faults for again being late on parade whilst Independent UKIP has 4 for adding to only 96% in Middlesbrough.
Unanimity in 5 contests: * Conservative holds in Blaby, Dartford and the two Runnymede seats * Labour hold in Middlesbrough 15 Conservative holds in Kings Lynn & West Norfolk with Catholic Left going for a Labour gain 12 Conservative holds in Camden with David Boothroyd, Dibs, Mark Senior and Robert Waller predicting a Lib Dem gain 12 Conservative holds in Norfolk with Andrew Teale, greatkingrat and Khunanup having a Labour gain whilst Independent UKIP a Lib Dem gain.
Neither erlend nor Mark Senior have a prediction for the No Description candidate in Middlesbrough but this is not faultable.

Norfolk CC, Clenchwarton and King's Lynn SouthCon 45 Lab 34 UKIP 13 LD 8 Terrible candidate recruitment here. We really ought to win this ward, but I will be slightly appalled if we actually do tomorrow. I was intrigued by these comments and wonder if EAL would care to elaborate? I can understand why the candidate wouldn't be to my taste - she's a lefty from East Anglia, but not clear what EastAnglianlefty's objections might be? Its interesting (and worrying) that both Andrew and GKR have Labour winning here qquite easily. I toyed with a Labour win here but obviously decieded against though I do think I have the Tory share too high now and it will probably be closer. My rationale was that while only a bit under half the electorate are in S&W Lynn where Labour are strong (but not overwhelmingly so), that turnout has tendd to be much lower there than in the outlying areas. If that pattern to be reversed as Labour manage to get their vote out then they should win. This is clearly the crucial by-eletcion for the prediction contest. If Labour win then Andrews lead should be assured whatevr happens in the other 7 contests. If not then tyhings get much more interesting

Ordinarily I wouldn't expect Labour to win a ward like this but I think the incinerator issue could cause a large swing against Tories.

That was also my reasoning. The local anti-incinerator campaign have called for electors to vote against the Conservatives in the county by-election. This is the county division that contains the planned incinerator site.
