Am I right in thinking the BNP offered to negotiate a merger/alliance with UKIP, an idea rejected by Nigel Farage? It was also rejected by all of the NEC.

Am I right in thinking the BNP offered to negotiate a merger/alliance with UKIP, an idea rejected by Nigel Farage? It offered an alliance only with Lord Pearson back in 2009 and an article was posted on the BNP main site: "Lord Pearson Is Always Welcome in BNP".

In 2011, Eddy Butler also attempted to merge English Democrats, UKIP and BNP (reform) into one.

I don't know why they are at 250/1. The BNP will easily beat UKIP and English Dems.

As is the case in all of these things at the bookies, odds are not a prediction. They are in effect a statement of how much money has been bet. This probably means that outside the top few we are talking about a very few pounds. I suspect that a fiver on the BNP would cut that 250 heavily.

Oh dear, that's not a good sign. Damned if they do, damned if they don't I suppose. If the other parties are telling people they don't, they had little option but to respond....... Shows, again, what a cluster**** the Labour selection process was, though

people probably saw the Eng Dem vote in the PCC and risked a couple of quid ... They polled poorly. Their chairman stood and came last out of six candidates. They seem to be going mad over their result in South Yorkshire and now claiming this equates to 3 MEP seats. The fact is though in the EU elections there are far more parties standing. The BNP and even Greens easily poll more than the ED's. The BNP is supposedly "toxic" according to the ED's yet they still polled more than the ED's in Corby.

what is the size of the Asian vote there ? Not tiny but nowhere near big enough to win an election by appealing to Asians alone. (And I think Respect do know that.)

Rotherham constituency was about 6% Asian at the 2001 census.

I'm shocked, truly shocked. ;D Wait until you hear what they are saying on the doorstep. Saint Salma's lot would say anything up to telling people that if Labour won they would be deported.

Rotherham Politics are still bigging up Respect, but they are so anti the local Labour Party that it's difficult to read much into that, other than that it might be an indication of where protest votes are most likely to go.
I don't know what the "astonishing outbreak of intemperance" refers to yet.
