By the way: In Vorarlberg the last PollingStations closed at 13.00! I have no idea, how students can handle this...

In Vorarlberg's capital Bregenz 21/29 precincts are counted and the SPÖ-challenger, who once led the regional party and whose father had once been mayor (with FPÖ-help), is surprisingly strong: 39%, ÖVP-inc. 41%.
In DistrictCapital Bludenz a RunOff of a very young ÖVP-man (28 years old) and the SPÖ-man, who failed last time narrowly, is likely, too.

Here and there ÖVP's regional JuniorPartner - THE GREENS - achieved over 40%!
It's difficult to get an OverView, though.

In Bludenz the young ÖVP-candidate is 3% (47%:44%) ahead and should win with help of most FPÖ&NEOS-supporters in the RunOff.

FPÖ's exLeader seems to have defended Hohenems (even enlarging his majority). No RunOff for the female ÖVP-mayor in the region's most populous town - Dornbirn, what is a success for ÖVP. In Feldkirch ÖVP won't face difficulties against the FPÖ-challenger.

Bregenz, mayoral race (preliminary): ÖVP-inc. 43%, SPÖ 34%. Disappointing for the incumbent, but the town has had a well-established coalition of ÖVP&GREENS for ~15 years (the first one in a larger town of Austria), so enough GREENies should opt for him in the second round.

Bregenz, mayoral race: Looks like a close RunOff.

ReTraction from my ReTraction: The official numbers posted above seem to be wrong - according to ORF the mayor received respectable 63.5%, his party FPÖ 44.2% (+1.9%)

If we trust the regional results-site Lustenau - governed once for decades by FPÖ, but lost ~10 years ago - will see a 2nd round of ÖVP versus FPÖ: With those many GREENies no problem for ÖVP to defend the town.

Hard - an (ex)industrial municipality near Bregenz, once ruled by SPÖ for a long period (if i remember correctly) - will have a RunOff, in which the SPÖ-man is even favoured against the incumbent ÖVP-woman.

Dornbirn - largest town (50.000) and ex-centre of the TextileIndustry - reelected the ÖVP-woman (like last time narrowly [~52%]) - all results are in now!

Participation (showing a clear divide between the urban west [RhineValley] and a more rural&remote, partly touristic east): Strongest party:

Vorarlberg has its first (and Austria - after the city of Innsbruck - its second) GREENish mayor: In today's RunOff Lochau, a small municioality, chose them instead of the ÖVP-incumbent.

Black day for the Blacks (=ÖVP) in Vorarlberg: While defending Feldkirch clearly against FPÖ and Bludenz narrowly against SPÖ, they lost the capital Bregenz to the Socialists closely (and widely the industrial municipality of Hard next to it).

The Bregenz-OutCome shows once again, that despite of ÖVP&Greens-coalitions on the federal, regional and local level the Greens-supporters continue preferring SPÖ to ÖVP. A scenery not unknown to CDU in Frankfort or Cologne.
