If I've counted correctly the last day to move the writ for the 29th is tomorrow.
Surely as a Loony candidate, your leaflets should be silly anyway?

The House of Commons is in recess from Wednesday to Friday next week. Labour selection for Rotherham is on 13th November, so 13th December seems likely if all three by-elections are to be held on the same day.

If I was the Labour Chief Whip I would hold them on three consecutive weeks to maximize the good publicity.

I am now (about an hour ago) reliably informed that the writ will be moved tomorrow, and the poll will be on 29th November after all.

Met Andy Stranack (Conservative) and Robin Smith (Young People's Party) for the first time yesterday (Friday) afternoon. Found a Labour Party leaflet.

I have always expected that the CPA would probably have a candidate, but I am surprised w didn't hear anything about it until now. Meanwhile, I was tragically unable to go to watch the Respect campaign launch this evening; I realised that I had an urgent appointment to say at home and find out who had been eliminated from X-Factor instead.

Its depressing that an intelligent and serious adult like John watches such trash as X-Factor. I've never watched this inane and pointless show before, but I had to endure a bit of it earlier tonight when I turned on ITV five minutes early to watch I'm a celebrity get me out of here

Christian Peoples Alliance have announced their candidate - Stephen Hammond. I am relieved. The two CPA candidates in the local elections in Croydon in 2010 were Anderson and Blades. If either of them had been selected as the candidate, they would have threatened my likely position as first on the ballot paper.

The person from the Young Person's Party is coming across as an utter twunt. He's not talking about young person's issues at all

According to this, Lane only got his signatures together "late last night". I'm not entirely sure how I would react if someone came knocking on my door saying they needed my signature to stand in an upcoming election to say "nine eleven was an inside job"...

Judging by the number of nominators - this is clearly a two horse race between Labour and the Loonies!
