This is the ulcer of Preston politics resurfacing. Liam is being factual. Shudder.
And I remember him from before that when he was a 'normal' lad.

Alan Valentine (yes, him) is to stand here. You didn't specify which party, but a bit of googling reveals that he is the prospective candidate of the "United People's Party" - which is presumably one of those weird triple-oxymoron names which is not necessarily an entirely accurate description of the nature of the organisation concerned.

Their policies seem to be a strange fusion of half-Green, half-UKIP.

Judging by the name, I had assumed that the UPP was a reactionary group led by some sort of resentful old git (a bit like the Imperial Party) but I notice from the website that it is led by a 22-year-old child who has been playing politics since he was 15, and who thinks that a Facebook page is a mass-membership political organisation.

Basically the polar opposite of my views.
These nutters want to destroy the heritage and culture of immigrants and force them to integrate which in the process completely deculturalizes the indigenous British population as well. This is why modern surveys show ''ethnic minorities'' feel more ''British'' than ''White Britons''. The latter now have no identity because integration has led to the stage where anyone can simply be British and it has no meaning.

I wonder how these 'representatives' are to be selected

Manchester Central is one of the few areas where you can still find far-left factions standing against each other. In that sense it's a left-wing version of Stoke At the last GE for example, you had the WRP and the WRP splinter group Socialist Equality both standing here, as well as Scargill's Socialist Labour Party, who have fought the last four general elections in Manchester Central. The Communist League (a pro-Cuban group that probably sells more of its papers by airmail to the U.S. than in Manchester!) had candidates here for the first couple of elections after its formation: 1992 and 1997.

And totally ignores the fact that the polls were pointing to a lost deposit. George Galloway said ‘I have said repeatedly that no always means no and that non-consensual sex is rape.” In the interest of party unity why was this statement not enough for this candidate, any other reservations could have been addressed internally.

But he also said "Not everybody needs to be asked prior to each insertion."
Well done to Kate Hudson for challenging Galloway, and making it less problematic for TUSC to stand a candidate.
