Was wondering about what the ST weekly YouGov survey said - and why I couldn't find it mentioned anywhere......... Apparently, there wasn't one - and on past form there won't be a poll tonight either. We need our fix!

The same poll also showed government approval maybe heading south again, at -37.

Could be an outlier; could be people are just completely fed up with the political establishment now. Labour's shit, Conservative's are Shit, the Liberal Democrats are Shit. I 've no idea who I'm voting for, or if I'm voting at all.
Could you blame them?

An unusual set of numbers, with both of the big two below their normal scores. I wonder which of the 'Others' has picked up the slack and why? Table with the figures.

Cynicism as rich (if you pardon the pun) as its ever been.

Am I reading this correctly in that one in ten of those who voted Conservative in 2010 are saying they would vote Ukip? That's potentially explosive if correct. It is of course a mid-term 'protest' poll and at least they are switching to a party that can't win seats.

but to a party that allows others to win plenty of seats if tight
would be delighted here if UKIP took 10% of the tory vote

3% according to those tables, which is less than the 4% of 2010 Labour voters who've switched to the Tories

Great news for UKIP supporters - tonight's YouGov poll puts them ahead of the LDs for the first time, 9% to 8%.
