Seems there is significant chaos in Stubbington due to a main road leading in the ward being closed due to found WWII ordnance. That's going away from the ward to the South (which only really goes to/from Peel Common/Hill Head) rather than being the main artery for people to get to Stubbington.

christ, that is bad then. Could you not have sucked in members from stone? We had 100s of people out on Election Day in Colne valley so I would have assumed that in a Labour heartland like Stoke activists would be even more plentiful. I think you are misjudging what section of society most Labour activists come from Benjil. Weren't you telling me elsewhere how many young Labour folk were at Heckmondwike Grammar School?

I'm not sure you can call a Tory seat in a year we failed to get a majority a "labour heartland"

We have in the past had folk from there, particularly when the BNP were a credible presence, but this year they were mainly in Central as I think they wanted to defend the by-election result. Without wishing to be controversial neither our then-MP nor our current CLP officers are particularly welcoming types, and there was an element of “oh Jeremy’s popularity will save us” (not from the candidate I hasten to add).

WANDSWORTH Thamesfield John Locker (C) 1,910 Sally Warren (Lab) 1,101 Ryan Mercer (LD) 619 Di McCann (Grn) 275 oh that is disappointing, dam the twitter rampers getting my hopes up. I knew we were going to hold, surprised by the margin. Not a bad result for us. After the disaster of the general, we are delighted our local vote has held up. Should head in 2018 knowing we are in the game.

What's the swing in Thamesfield? 4.8% Con to Lab I think If that swing were replicated across the borough in next year’s council elections, which Conservative seats/wards would fall to Labour?

WANDSWORTH Thamesfield John Locker (C) 1,910 Sally Warren (Lab) 1,101 Ryan Mercer (LD) 619 Di McCann (Grn) 275 That seems quite a decent score for us, especially as I'd expect a squeeze from Labour.
