"Tender Branson", a user from another forum, had the good idea to make a map of Left vs. Right: So, Austria did not really vote left-radically...

Though you could quibble if NEOS are really "right" I suppose..... True - what would it look like if you put them on the Left Georg? (or left them out of the equation altogether)

(or left them out of the equation altogether) I had intended to make a map with ÖVP&FPÖ&FLÖ (=exFPÖ), but then i saw this one ... Perhaps i will make one without NEOS. The campaign of NEOS avoided attacking Austria's favorite SonInLaw (by the way: Kurz was once taught in the ÖVP-academy in rhetorics by Strolz...) and also didn't go aggressively after those many leftliberal voters, who were made homeless by the inferiority of SPÖ and GREENS. As written earlier, most NEOS-politicians derive from prominent ÖVP-members, what plays a big role of course, but being openly "neoliberal" - supportive of the Austrian School of NationalEconomics - is totally toxic and as a consequence they have focussed on more left issues.

'Neoliberal' is but a euphemism for communist state bailouts on an unprecedented scale, it has nothing to do with the Austrian School or liberalism, and everything with despicable scum filling their pockets with taxpayers' money.

The term is usually used to refer to the kind of small state ideology espoused by the likes of Keith Joseph, Margaret Thatcher, and Ronald Reagan. I'm surprised you associate the term with the slightly odd concept of "communist state bailouts on an unprecedented scale".

Yes, You are right: With reservatio mentalis i merged, what is called "neoliberal" by the shameless populace, with the "NewLiberalism" (contrary to the prodemocratic&left "OldLiberalism" in the XIX.) of E.v.KühneltLeddihn and others from MontPelerin.

Excellent - so the first is with NEOS excluded and the second with them counted as on the left ? No, both are without NEOS. Firstly percentages, secondly deviances from AustrianAverage (-10%, +13.5%, ...).

Revolution in Austria (at least in A.'s "PsephoLogy"): The institute SORA has conducted since 1986 VoteStream-research for the media. For LowerA. they made surveys for historic elections (i published some of them in my essay on LowerA.). Now they released studies for all elections since 1919!!! Their method was to collect from municipalities precinct-results (districts, regions and the federal HomeOffice do not have them collected!). Look at www.sora.atMost results do not surprise, but totally unexpected is, that the new FPÖ of 1956 got most voters not from VdU/WdU - instead from those, who had been NonVoters in 1953! Of those, who had 1945 been not eligible to vote (Nazis, refugees, imprisoned soldiers), 31% voted for ÖVP and SPÖ each and 24% for the VdU/WdU in 1949.
