Well, to be fair Jared never committed the Cardinal Sin of calling the Great and Infallible Leader anti-Semitic.... I'm not aware that Frank has that either Ok, if you want to be casuistic he said the "leadership is a force for anti-Semitism in this country" Which actually sounds worse than being anti-Semitic to me...

It was Frank Field's CLP which declined antisemitism training from the Jewish Labour Movement because they were linked with ISIS... Evidence? Would reading the actual minutes help you?

This is probably a stupid question, but is Frank Field Jewish? If he is, then fair enough, he has probably experienced antisemitism. If not then I think he is employing hyperbole to justify an action taken for additional reasons. No he isn't he is practising Anglican That doesn't necessarily mean someone isn't from a Jewish background. Giles Fraser for example.

Had this happened while I sat on the local exec there would have been blood onthe streets and I think its probably still true now from the chats I have with exec members

Though his views on immigration and Europe are diametrically opposed His downfall was far more linked to Browns hostility to some of Field's ideas particularly opposition to means tested benefits which Field opposes. He was very critical of tax credits.

The silence regarding O'Mara and Woodcock about resigning their seats compared to the din that Field should commit hari kari. Nowt to do with winnability? People who write "hari kari" instead of "hara kiri" should be dosembiwelled.

Tom Watson tonight says that Field is a major loss and calls this a wake-up call.
Even a broken clock...

Apparently one of the people who drafted the above is now dead. I say no more. “Others present remembered a suggestion being made about a funding link between the JLG and the Israeli government, which is false. They did not recall the link with Isis being made.” “The claim was nevertheless recorded in the minutes of the Oxton branch meeting on January 17 as if true. A Labour source said: “Fundamentally the training was refused on the basis that JLG is funded by the Israeli government, which is false. There was no record of anyone saying this was horrifying. It just passed into the minutes as if fact. It’s a pretty intimidating atmosphere at the moment.” Mr Field is understood to have been absent from the relevant meeting.” “One of the individuals likely to have been involved in the preparation of the minutes died recently. A source said that the key figures in the Birkenhead Labour Party had not been subjected to the kind of takeover by Momentum activists that was seen elsewhere and were more likely to be veterans.” www.thetimes.co.uk/article/labour-party-meeting-falsely-linked-jewish-group-to-isis-b2d83mxq6

I'm going to email the CLP because this just seems unbelievable I said “I say no more” because I’m not going to write something after that to pretend to be nice to someone like that but neither do I celebrate deaths. I thought it was a polite way of drawing a line under it. As for your email to Birkenhead CLP good luck, if they admit it DM me to let me know I’d love to know why but tbh I can’t see them admitting to it. Maybe the deceased put it there surreptitiously because they were antisemitic and wanted to discreetly twist the knife or maybe they misheard, doubtful imo, I don’t know. Either way it isn’t a good look for that CLP.
