Wakefield MDC Cllr & West Yorks PCC Mark Burns-Williamson has announced he will step down as Castleford ward Cllr.
Ultra safe Labour ward. Off the top of my head 2012 saw Lab get about 72%, Ukip 15% & Tories 13%.

Brian Gate, suspended Labour, West Harrow ward (LB Harrow) has resigned from the Council with immediate effect.
Last year, on another thread, I reported my shock after he had been arrested in September on suspicion of possessing indecent images of children. At the time he was immediately suspended from the Labour Party and from his positions in the administration. On Monday this week he was cautioned by the Police and placed on the Sex Offenders Register for 2 years.
West Harrow is a highly marginal ward. Previous to this incident he had been highly popular in the area and out-polled his Labour running-mates.

Coatbridge West (North Lanarkshire) will poll on 28 February. The candidates have also been announced for Rutherglen South so will put them up once the relevant thread has been started.
