The PM has done that face again Oddly enough, that's the face I make whenever I have to be near kids.

Set your camera to "burst" when someone is speaking and just choose the ugliest/craziest image. Tell us when you are next doing a public meeting and I'll come along and demonstrate. Now come on, how many times have Conservatives used unflattering images of Labour politicians in their electioneering?

Midwives know best. The truth has a left wing bias because guess what there is a National crisis in the NHS! There have been increases of expenditure under both major parties. The Conservatives promised more than Labour at the last GE and delivered all of it and more. There have been forms of crisis in the NHS ever since it was formed. There were serious problems under Burnham and during much of the last Labour Government. This I not and never has been a party political matter. It is not even 50% a funding matter. It is a hard choices matter. A better management and more sensible management matter. It is an educate the public to be less stupid matter (smoking, drugs, alcohol, accidents, obesity). It will not be solved by voting Labour. How could it? It is an offence against truth and decency to campaign in this manner and only a totally politically bankrupt party would do so. Labour again lead the field in duplicity and mendacity whilst aiding and curing nothing and with barely half of an idea between them, but far too stupid to even be ashamed of themselves. If they only taxed bankers bonuses then we'd have a world class NHS. Everyone knows that survival rates for cancer would be higher but for the bankers and tax advisors, and perhaps the pensions industry.

The bankers' bonus tax stuff was, and is, nonsense. Almost everyone touting one seemed fundamentally unaware of how they worked, why they existed, and who exactly such a tax would actually affect.

It's pretty clear that the government fycked up the usual Winter Strategy this year. What's happened isn't normal. Eyes off balls, perhaps.

A big shift to the Tories in the Betting today with some Bookies now making them 4/1 on! Is there an obvious reason for that? Private polls possibly? Has any explanation emerged for this? None that I am aware of certainly, which raises the possibility of our old friend the ramp..... Have they started opening postal ballots? Just asking.

"Voting for this party will kill people" is scaremongering of the highest degree.

Producer interest. Good Labour principle. Are you seriously suggesting that these midwives should not be consulted or be listened to because of 'producer interest', and until you provide evidence that they are acting for their own advantage I am going to take there word for it, this hospital closing will cause DEATHS Love how the party that wet from social democratic and anti war to basically soft tory and pro middle east intervention in 10 years members are talking about principles! At least we have some, whats your lates scam? oh yes going against democracy, funny given your party's name Grow up benji or we shall think you as even more of a prat than we do now.

At least we have some, whats your lates scam? oh yes going against democracy, funny given your party's name Now if you'd like to say that in English ... 1. Of course midwives should be consulted and listened to ... but who are these midwives? Do you know? Have they studied the relative merits of small local units against larger more distant "centres of excellence"? Or are they local midwives who don't want their jobs to move? 2. I haven't "wet" from social democratic because I was never there. I was, and am, a liberal. 3. "Soft tory". Well, at least I'm not a blairite which - I understand - is the insult of choice. Oh, and I'm certainly not a tory! ! Whig, maybe ... 4. "Pro middle east intervention"? What does that even mean? Diplomacy? Sanctions? Military? 5. "Going against democracy"? How?

Has any explanation emerged for this? None that I am aware of certainly, which raises the possibility of our old friend the ramp..... Have they started opening postal ballots? Just asking. Since the electoral commission has now clarified that, in their view, the secrecy provisions make tallying the postal votes definitely a criminal offence (whereas previously it was a grey area, as the exact wording of the law mentions the secrecy of individual ballots and doesn't mention the balance of votes cast), I would hope that the opening of postal ballots would not be affecting the betting markets. Although if somebody is illegally tallying at the postal vote opening, their figures are inevitably going to be better for the Tories than the final result.

"Voting for this party will kill people" is scaremongering of the highest degree. " Shutting this hospital will mean lives that would otherwise have been saved won't be" Is a fact. What you have done is twisted the campaigns words, unless of coarse you don't think cuts have consequences. No it isn't. Let me explain with an example not many miles from here. There is a substantial District General Hospital. Unfortunately its catchment area isn't really large enough to support the range of facilities it currently offers. There are alternative, larger general hospitals 20 miles to the west, 22ish to the south, 15 miles to the north. It's costing a fortune to treat relatively small numbers of people. And because it's small if you need critical, specialist care your chances are better going elsewhere (because the limited number of staff don't have the appropriate skills or experience). If it closed - or more likely was scaled down to a limited range of facilities - it would release funding for higher priorities and mean many patients would get better - though more distant - care. Would closure lead to more deaths? I don't know - it could well lead to fewer deaths. That's why we have professionals (including, but not exclusively, midwives) to advise the politicians.

Labour hold. Increased majority. Try not to punch anyone ... I never threaten to punch anyone on their own property unless they threaten me first. I did once knock on a door of a house where the owner immediately demanded that I apologise to the nation. Unbeknown to me some idiot from Conservative Future went to a fancy dress party dressed as Marylyn McCann. He had been expelled immediately by Eric Pickles, but it was in the morning papers which I hadn't seen....well, the Daily Mirror, anyway. The bloke insisted that I should apologise immediately....even though I knew nothing about it, so I said, "Just to confirm here. You think that I and everyone else in the party are responsible for this kid and his actions."He confirmed that he did. "Has anyone ever told you that you are a cretinous fucking idiot?"I walked off before he could shut the door. For some reason, that brought to mind this Spitting Image sketch:
