tomato, tomato its all in the health sector. It really isn't. You go around calling her a doctor much more and the GMC will be down on you like a ton of bricks. Sounds terrifying .

Presumably "doctor" denotes her educational level and not her current profession (besides aren't most people called "doctors" just BMBS anyway?). You need a doctorate to be an academic doctorate. She doesn't appear to meet that qualification, and also is not a medical professional (dubious whether that qualifies you anyway). Ergo she is plain old Mrs/Miss/Ms Troughton.

Your candidate is NOT A GP, she is a former hospital doctor who was an ambulance driver for St Johns Ambulance. She is no longer registered as a medical practictioner with the BMA. tomato, tomato its all in the health sector. Next time I need neurosurgery I'll go to an occupational therapist. It's all health sector and the waiting lists are shorter.

I think we will scrape it because of the NHS crisis ( candidate is an GP as well) and because we have flooded the area with hundreds of activists, from what I heard every weekend groups from 2 or 3 CLPs are heading up there - I know Tory MPs have been ordered to spend a weekend up there but t someone like IDS knocking on my door would be more of a deterrent tbh! My clp had a bit of a disaster and I was unable to go though I may try and tag along with some mates from Halifax during Half Term. I reckon people are voting in this poll based partly on political allegiances, speaking to other Labour members everyone is certain we will win but maybe that's just lefty optimism! If we lose and Corbyn continues at the current level in the polls then I sadly put Labour on 150 seats next election. (Is there a thread where we can make GE2020 predictions?) Her current employment is as a Manager in a business with Nuclear in its title. Presumably her role with St John Ambulance is voluntary. She is not - never has been - a GP.

In the 1980s, when I was 'in fashion', I made a few short TV segments about constituencies, either to do with general election polling (Calder Valley, Dudley West, Cheltenham, Strathkelvin & Bearsden) or byelections (eg Stafford). This was an interesting learning process for me. At one point I was chatting with a crew about the above point, and they said that once they had had a filming assignment in Northampton, and they had been booked into a hotel in Southampton - as 'it was just over the river'. It's the reference to the river I find interesting, because my first reaction was that they'd confused Southampton and Molesey.

More intersting: If she was a hospital physician what made her quit? WAs she just burned out, or was she fired?

How big are your rosettes if they slow you down when leafleting?

Like so many of our threads this is now mainly quite surreal.
