I don;t have CNN or anythning like that so it will be BBC or SKy.. probably flick between the two as Sky will irritate me with all the ad breaks and the BBC will just irritate me full stop. I shall probably be online and following events on here too. Are you sure you haven't got CNN? I didn't think there were any packages that had Sky News but not CNN. It's CNN (plus MSNBC) that I'll be watching since it's actually broadcast from the US, and they dispense with their piss-poor "international" service during the election. And they have a clear and detailed online data service edition.cnn.com/election/resultsI only have a Freeview box

But if you have a fast broadband connection and the right wires you can connect a laptop to the TV and watch anything from the internet. That's how I watch foreign TV news stations.

I will be in a hotel room in London as I am working down there this week.
I hope that CNN will be available in Ibis. If not I can always watch it on my iPad.
I will probably flick channels to BBC New 24 and Sky News from time to time.

No votes for ITN but BBC in 1st place? Do you all feel the BBC are much better? In 2015GE I thought BBC were poor and ITV quite as good, if not better. And no votes for FOX whereas I used them for last POTUS when in Italy and they seemed quite slick, well set out and fast? I haven't voted yet.

I'll watch Fox if they promise to have Rudy Giuliani's instant reaction to the results.

I'd always assumed that Freeview carried CNN, but it seems it came off 5 years ago. The economics of these things mystify me. But you have RT instead!

The BBC are incapable of covering politics in this country to an adequate standard so the idea that they can cover politics in another country to anything like a reasonable standard is laughable.

BBC coverage of US elections has generally been poor. Peter Snow's computer crashed in 1992, and 2008 was dominated by David Dimbleby and Gore Vidal failing to communicate (if anyone remembers that debacle).

Currently limited to stuff I can stream online, so probably NBC, though I may change to BBC via iPlayer if it proves rubbish (probably followed by promptly switching back, if that turns out to be as poor as I expect).
Plus, of course, following things online (here, another forum I frequent which has actual Americans on it, and various websites providing useful info).
I'll be maintaining my own map of actual and almost certain results (before polls close, it's going to be 270 to win's competitive states map - except with Utah unclaimed),

I'd like to ask forum members: what will you be drinking tonight as you watch the results come in?

Highland Park and I suppose I'll be watching BBC with no great expectations.

CNN, which I have been watching on and off all day around work. Probably coffee to keep me awake, maybe something stronger if HRC wins. Definitely something stronger if Trump wins!

I'd like to ask forum members: what will you be drinking tonight as you watch the results come in? Juice, I'd bought a bottle of the devil's buttermilk for the election but then found out I'm starting work at 6am tomorrow; thought best not to be both sleep deprived and tipsy... I'll be watching CNN. The BBC coverage in 2012 was terrible, I remember they kept repeating some banal piece about northern Virginia, instead of actually showing the results.

Prosecco and diet coke (not together) plus coffee (and a little something else) to keep me awake
