UKIP have endorsed Zac Goldsmith and won't be contesting the byelection themselves. I was wondering about this last evening as talk turned to this by-election becoming about 'Brexit' and thought they might do this. UKIP's official policy seems to be pro third runway. This would put me in a difficult position if I lived in Richmond Park as I would be very reluctant to vote for Goldsmith who I dislike and disagree with about many things, not least the issue on which he has caused this by-election. I could almost be tempted to vote for Barnaby. Fortunately I don't need to worry about it as I don't live there and there aren't too many other UKIP supporters who do either |
