I'd forgotten what a weird collection of places this seat is. Backwards, strange places. The last time I went to Tyldesley, I was playing a rugby union match, and there was a big, ageing sign reading "Welcome to Tyldesley, part of Wigan Borough- Home to the Famous Casino!" as you entered the town. This was in 2010. Wigan Casino closed in 1981. |

Confirmed that Andy Burnham is standing down at the GE and there will be no by-election here.
Let's recall that this was meant to be Nuttall's next "big opportunity" after Stoke. I wonder what seat, if any, he will contest in June?
