As BritainVotes won't be running a liveblog tonight I'm going to try and run an alternative. I can't guarantee how well it will actually work in practice, but if you come along to blyve.com/event/544208502effa275ec000000 after 10pm then we can give it a try at least. good one, what has happened to BV recently ?

What happened was that Coveritlive changed their charging policy and decided that users would have to pay for any liveblog which involved more than 10 users per month.
There was a lot of discussion last week about possible alternative live chat providers.

guess people have to make cash, the era of free apps like this may be ending. Servers and the such like have to be paid for.

Surely there are add-ons for most browsers (I know there's Chatzilla for Firefox) these days to support IRC. Be better returning to that, and just starting your own channel on there.

If everyone knew what it was these days I would put forward IRC. One of the great uses of the Internet in the old days, I have fond memories of it!

There was an issue to do with car parking charges but I didn't expect it to play that strongly - bit of a guiide for next week perhaps

Wow. The average prediction on this site is way out. Over 15% out. What a result if we'd won...
Still, only Calderdale really matters by most measures.

According to Twitter, Toby Jug got more votes than the Lib Dem, and was only 2 votes behind Labour - but I haven't found the full result yet.

Looks very much like the battle between the Conservative and the Indy squeezed everybody else.
