"Trump accuses Cruz's father of helping JFK's assassin." www.politico.com/blogs/2016-gop-primary-live-updates-and-results/2016/05/trump-ted-cruz-father-222730#ixzz47cD3CLgY“(Cruz's) father was with Lee Harvey Oswald prior to Oswald's being — you know, shot. I mean, the whole thing is ridiculous,” Trump said Tuesday during a phone interview with Fox News. “What is this, right prior to his being shot, and nobody even brings it up. They don't even talk about that. That was reported, and nobody talks about it.” “I mean, what was he doing — what was he doing with Lee Harvey Oswald shortly before the death? Before the shooting?” Trump continued. “It’s horrible.”

What next? A 15 year old Hillary Rodham seen on the grassy knoll before the motorcade arrived?

Naz Shah, Ken Livingstone, George Galloway; eat your heart out. That's real anti-Semitism!

One article I read (maybe on Politico) did a tongue in cheek scenario on how Trump could win the General Election. One of the conditions was that Melania must get access to his Twitter account and change the password and not tell him what it is.

With each and every day Trump gives more credence to the idea that he is simply a Clinton plant. He seems determined to alienate everybody outside of his base.

As for what he said about Warren she attacked him in very harsh terms. How else he he supposed to attack her back? It shouldn't be about attacking somebody back. It should be about persuading people who might have been listening to her that the attacks were entirely spurious. Convince people that she's unfairly slandering you, and her reputation suffers, whilst yours gains. Attack her personally, and you look bad.

One of Warren's attacks was this: "@realdonaldtrump knows he’s a loser. His insecurities are on parade: petty bullying, attacks on women, cheap racism, flagrant narcissism" I think his reaction of going after Warren personally, rather than trying to refute the actual allegations, is likely to make people think that a lot of that one is absolutely spot on.

That smear of Ben Sasse would be laughable were it not so sickening. This is the disgusting new low that Trump and his vile followers have brought to American politics and it why Trump will be overwhelmingly rejected by the vast majority of decent Americans in November.

Trump's followers are of course too dimwitted to see the obvious point that Warren is goading him into this. She is going to be one of of Clinton's most effective attack dogs throughout this campaign because she has mastered the art of making blistering attacks while not making herself look personally objectionable. She is also very thick skinned and won't give a damn about what Trump says about her in response.

Trying to refute the allegations would have been a bad idea. By carefully refuting the allegations he would have been giving out a message. That message would have been "Elizabeth Warren is a credible person whose opinions should be taken seriously. I disagree with her but realise that her arguments need to be addressed" That would have been exactly the wrong message to give out and immediately puts trump on the defensive against Warren. Far from harming her credibility this form of reply would have boosted it. However replying along the lines of "Elizabeth Warren is a liar with no credibility and whose individual criticisms are not worth addressing" does the job of undermining her credibility, which is what Trump needs to do. If he wanted to send the message that she's not credible enough to be taken seriously, why spend a whole load of effort attacking her?

She is also very thick skinned and won't give a damn about what Trump says about her in response. He's not aiming at hurting her feelings. What he's doing is undermining her credibility. Her credibility does not rest on this non-story about whether or not she has any native-American ancestry.

Her credibility does not rest on this non-story about whether or not she has any native-American ancestry. Well what do you think would be a more effective way for Trump to undermine her credibility? He should ignore her. If he insists on getting into arguments with everyone that criticises him he will only damage himself further. It doesn't matter if he lands a few blows in Warren, she isn't running for election and she has a Senate seat for as long as she wants it. This is where his pathetic insecurities are going to be used against him, he just can't help himself, when someone has a go at him he has to have a go back.

www.nbcnews.com/politics/2016-election/trump-slams-hillary-clinton-nasty-mean-enabler-husband-s-affairs-n569791"An unrestrained Donald Trump called Hillary Clinton an " unbelievably nasty, mean enabler" who "destroyed" the lives of her husband's mistresses during a rally in Oregon on Friday night. " "She's been the total enabler. She would go after these women and destroy their lives," "She was an unbelievably nasty, mean enabler, and what she did to a lot of those women is disgraceful." "Trump told the crowd " nobody respects women more than me," but in contrast, "nobody in this country, and maybe in the history of the country politically, was worse than Bill Clinton with women." "Have you ever read what Hillary Clinton did to the women that Bill Clinton had affairs with? And they're going after me with women?" he added, incredulously, without citing any specific examples or sources." "He charged that she would be "sleeping" when national security crises hit at odd hours, tied her to NAFTA, and called her a "tool of Wall Street." He also said he was the "last person she wants to run against…because my attitude is, I don't care." "In front of a crowd of thousands on Friday night, Trump unveiled a new nickname for the Massachusetts senator: "Goofus."Clinton's "got this goofy friend Elizabeth Warren, she's on a Twitter rant, she's a goofus," he said. "This woman, she's a basketcase. By the way, she's done nothing in the United States. She's done nothing." He suggested Clinton choose Warren as her running mate because "without that [woman] card she would get nobody voting for her." "Trump toned down his attacks on members of his own party considerably, but still doled them out to his most recent critics, calling Jeb Bush "low-key — "I wanted to say 'low-key' cause its nicer than saying 'low-energy,'" he joked — and telling the crowd Sen. Lindsey Graham "knows less about the military than my 10 year old son Barron."Trump also dismissed House Speaker Paul Ryan's refusal to back him as Paul simply "trying to be cute," noting they previously had a very pleasant phone conversation three weeks ago. But mostly, Trump seemed tickled, if also somewhat chagrined, by the fact that many of the remaining holdouts signed a pledge from the Republican National Committee promising to back the eventual nominee — a ploy initially used by the RNC to ensure Trump wouldn't launch a third-party bid. "I signed a pledge, and they're the ones that are violating it!". He dismissed, however, the holdouts, telling the crowd he "released" them. "If somebody doesn't wanna endorse, I don't want their endorsement."
