Specifically among Independents here, it was Dean Hodder who got 49 votes and Graham Birchall (formerly of Party for a United Thanet) who got 10 votes. The turnout must have been pretty terrible.

Result Labour 228 Tories 198 UKIP 89. Labour 'gain' Northville

Only a gain in that it was to replace a Tory who had resigned, the election being uncontested in 2015

The last competitive election was 2011, where there were 4 Lab & 1 Tory elected.
