This thread is a pedants charter. I believe you are missing an apostrophe there... Deliberate to set off the pedants !

I'd like to buy one but not for £60. I'll have to wait for second-hand copies to become available.

I haven't seen the 2017 edition yet, and I'm beginning to think I won't buy it at all this time. Since general Election Day, I have managed just by looking at the results in my copy of the Times newspaper.

Bill Esterson is renamed Bill Esterton.
(I didn't mention my error in failing to put the discount code in when ordering it and so having to pay full whack instead of 40% off. Oh well)

And is now a good time to mention that on the 2015 map a large chunk of Devon seems to have vanished?

But if it had, 2015 might have been a better time to mention it..

If that's in the 2017 edition, that really is a horrendous error - did no one even give the big colour map a quick glance before sending it to print?

I'm talking about the same book. It is you who are talking about a different book. Meanwhile, the 2015 map is missing West Midlands county, but anyway.

I bought the 2017 edition today. Still not sure whether I "should". I decided to in order to be consistent with the other editions on my shelf (going back to 1987). While I was in the bookshop I noticed a Politicos version for only £30, which - at a glance - seemed to have more extra details. But anyway.

Have you no loyalty, man?! (last comment not intended to be serious)

I think I was so focused on buying the TGttHoC that I didn't really notice the other one until after I had bought it. If I had compared them properly, I might have spent my money otherwise.

I noticed that the 2015 TG says that Chuka Umunna was born on 21st April 1964. I wonder who they were confusing him with?

Some of the boundary change percentages in the Times Guide to the House of Commons are clearly incorrect. Bishop Auckland was claimed to have undergone a 47.7% change from its 1983 boundaries, and Sedgefield 53.3%, but Wikipedia, Davıd Boothroyd 's election website detailing electorate changes in the Durham constituencies from 1983-1992, and the British General Election of 1997 by Butler & Kavanagh confirm this to be inaccurate. They must have accidentally multiplied the real level of change by 10, as with Sedgefield. The number of constituencies in Durham (excluding the parts of Durham in Tyne & Wear) has remained unchanged since 1983.
