Whilst Bridge and bridge Without Ward is one of the smaller Wards in the City of London, I can't recall another case where in a poll, for a Principal Authority in this country, a candidate received only one vote. I'm sure that is must have happenned recently (has anyone ever had zero votes?) and that someone on this Forum will be able to give the details. Well, we were working on it, but now we have come out of coalition ......

Given last month's results, I think some LDs would be grateful if the party is still in existence in 40 years time! Well, I shall be looking forward to my 98th birthday. And, I suspect, will still be a Lib Dem. Indeed, I fear I will still be the local party chairman. Possibly as sole member and voter???

The TUSC candidate in Rainham North this year was announced as receiving zero votes, although it is unlikely that figure is accurate. www.medway.gov.uk/PDF/Rainham_North_declaration_of_result_Locals_2015.pdfOne of the nine Loonies in Molesey East in 2012 received one vote, which is more likely to be correct. www.andrewteale.me.uk/leap/results/2012/338/#ward4421

Isn't that thought likely to be an inaccuracy as well?
As with the TUSC example this year, IIRC there were a few people who subsequently claimed to have voted for her.

Labour also lost the Graig ward on the same council to an independent on Thursday as well. Bish is going to need an even bigger veil at this rate!!

Particularly impressive given the huge size of Glasgow wards. scottishelections.org.uk/scotland/lby/govan.php
