Looks like just 5 by-elections during the month:
1 on the 5th February
3 on the 12th
1 on the 19th
0 on the 26th
2 contests are for County Councils last contested in 2013
1 for a Unitary Authority last contested in 2013
1 for a District Council that holds elections annually, the last time in 2014 with a "double" election
1 for a Welsh Council last contested in 2012
Conservatives are defending 2 seats, 1 following the death of the previous councillor and 1 after a resignation
Labour is defending 2 seats, both following a death
UKIP is defending 1 seat following a resignation
Conservatives and Labour each have 5 candidates, Liberal Democrats and UKIP 4 each, Greens 3, Independents 2 with Plaid Cymru and a resident group 1 each - a total of 25 candidates for the 5 seats.
Predictions o9n this thread by 9.00 am on day of the election.
