Here's 0130 - 0230 GMT and in answer to Robert's question, yes, there is indeed coverage of the second day, however I will launch a consultation on that after I have uploaded the last overnight section (0230 - 0400)

Thanks again to Harry for uploading these. I don't know how fast his connection is in Ceredigion so it might be a time-consuming effort.

Thanks again to Harry for uploading these. I don't know how fast his connection is in Ceredigion so it might be a time-consuming effort. It was 330kbps (so these would have been impossible) but thanks to the Welsh Government rolling out superfast broadband to those areas that wouldn't normally get it (i.e the whole of Ceredigion) the speeds are now 9MBps (so a one hour clip takes about 45 minutes to upload)

I am now in the process of uploading the last section of overnight coverage from 1966 which can be found listed on my channel when it finishes uploading and processing. The coverage resumed at 0600 GMT the following morning but (and this is the matter I would like advice on) there were no results published until at least 0900 GMT (and possibly even later) so the question is "Do I upload the breakfast programme with no results, or the first results of the morning?"

I would upload the whole lot, myself. If only to see if the commentary without any results was more insightful than it is these days.

Changing tack to 1979. The BBC interviewed a man called Ball Powell (pronounced Bal) at some point mid morning. He had some sort of city job, but I can't seem to find out who he was (I'm not near a Who's Who or similar). Does anyone know anything about him?

A question about 1974, namely would andy object if (after completing 1966) I uploaded February 1974 in hour long chunks (as opposed to the fifteen minute chunks he has)?

I see that Harry Hayfield has now uploaded the whole of the BBC's coverage of the 1966 general election night. This means we now have comprehensive coverage available of every general election night since 1955. Exalts are due to all those who made this possible, in particular, Andrew_S .

There are bits missing here and there for all of the post-1955 coverage (particularly mornings after) but we have the vast bulk of it now. You're still getting an exalt. Anything else would of course be a welcome bonus.

According to the Radio Times there will not be an archive election replay on Bank Holiday Monday. It is possible that they may decide to replay one after the party conference season.

BBC Parliament are repeating the three hours of the 1955 election which they still have in the archives on Sunday night, apparently.

The first three hours of ITV's coverage of the 2005 general election: So only 62 results had come in during that three hours, although that was more than what was managed in 2015. Funny to see Nick Robinson on these, before his defection to the BBC.

Remember that ITN calls seats before they are officially announced, so not all of those 62 were actual results.
