Looking at one of the questions which Ashcroft has retweeted the Tories appear to be winning the ground game (or at least are most active). Contact from any of the parties: Con 92%, UKIP 80%, Lab 71%, LD 69% Posters/billboard seen: Con 50%, UKIP 27%, Lab 20%, LD 14% Leaflets/newspapers: Con 81%, UKIP 70%, Lab 61%, LD 58% Letters: Con 49%, LD 29%, UKIP 25%, Lab 20%

The Ashcroft poll is in stark contrast to Populus whose figures hardly change. in 4 weeks, Ashcroft has had the Tories on 25% and 34%, Labour from 31 to 35, Lib Dems from 6 to 9 and UKIP from 13 to 19. That's a big old spread.

To be honest you can not take them seriously yet, no chance Tories on 25% ours at 34% is at the most and UKIP score seems too high.

I could produce a bar chart on that if I felt like it.

It's a two horse race. Only the lib Dems can beat UKIP at bar charts here.

The reference to 'tired, old parties' is also ripped straight from the 2010 Lib Dem playbook.

If what is claimed above is correct, this is the first poll this parliament to have the LibDems fifth behind both UKIP and the Greens.
(possibly the first ever, too?)

That poll must have some methodology for treatment of won't say and don't knows that is rooted back into the last GE when the UKIP vote was very small and the Conservative vote very high, and IMO that distorts this result by inflating Conservatives and deflating UKIP. I wager the UKIP result will be better than that poll shows.
