OK, here it is ladies and gentlemen, what you've been waiting for... boundaryassistant.org/PlanBuilder2018.htmlThis has the nine English regions with Wales to follow within the next few days. There are a few rough edges to smooth out. The regional boundaries are oversimplified leading to some artefacts around the Farne islands and in the Solent. This will be fixed soon. If you have a link to the previous Plan Builder URL it will redirect to the new one. You can still access the old version with the 2010 electorates and the revised reccomendations for all four nations via the Abandoned Review Archive menu. You sir, are amazing

Absolutely brilliant. It's too early to nominate you for the Vote UK Technical Contributor of the Year, but if it wasn't you'd definitely have my nomination.

Can't see how to delete wards added in error. No doubt I'm being thick.

Thanks for all the kind words. Harry Hayfield and others may be pleased to know that Wales is now available.

Go raibh míle maith agat to the developer of this. But why is there nothing of this nature available from the Boundary Commissions? This was one of the issues discussed in the phone interviews back in January. I think they concluded that the only people likely to use it would be perfectly able to find boundaries and electorates anyway so the expense of the Boundary Commissions producing their own wasn't justified.

All respect to them, 9/10 of those concerned are probably on here and now using Boundary Assisstant, but that's no excuse. If K Larkin had gone away, that was that scuppered. And even now 1/10 those interested won't have come to this website and be unaware. Either they should make a mapping system available to nerds, or to all. But not available to anyone and dependent on the caprice of a private individual is useless.

I am sure that the Boundary Commission already has software that it uses internally to design constituencies. That doesn't mean that it can easily be converted into a webapp being used by thousands of people.

Perhaps the best solution would be for the Boundary Commissions to provide a link to Boundary Assistant from their website.

I always forget. Are Welsh Assembly constituencies now theoretically detached from Westminster ones?

I always forget. Are Welsh Assembly constituencies now theoretically detached from Westminster ones? The Welsh Assembly has 40 constituencies, Wales is supposed to have 29 Westminster constituencies, therefore that is a question for the Assembly being elected in May.

Thanks for all the kind words. Harry Hayfield and others may be pleased to know that Wales is now available. There seems to be a problem with some of the Northumberland wards?

Half the Northumberland wards just seem to be impossible to fill in, whether you do it individually or use the square tool.

I certainly had that problem at the far north of Northumberland, round the Berwick area. I assumed you'd been nobbled by Sturgeon's lot!
