If that's how it ends up going, almost certainly.

Good riddance. This would also surely put an independence referendum on the backburner for another twenty years- if this does come off, this will be a huge blow to Quebec nationalism or at least the bittereinder tendency.

Seems we missed the NPD registering a Quebec wing on January 30th. It's led by Pierre Ducasse, who previously contested the federal leadership in 2003 and was then the party's Quebec lieutenant. Not sure if they'll actually run any candidates this time.

They are all over the place, some are Liberals, some are in QS, a bit are voting PQ and obviously the various small parties (Greens, UCQ...). Depends of which of being left-wing or being non-nationalist is the more important thing for them.

New Forum Research poll with findings that are... unexpected. But we'll see.
PLQ 45, PS 32, CAQ 13, QS 7

Well, she needs to stop their progress and to retake the part of her former voters which defected to QS.

But the same pollster said today than on the first day of the poll, the result was PLQ + 12 and on the last day PLQ + 3, so, wouldn't say the race is finished yet.

Is this going to be another election where the most accurate polling day cartoon will show a ballot box nervously watched by all the party leaders and the polling industry?

Makes you wonder if the possibility of Pauline Marois as your head of state is them most convincing federalist argument ever discovered.

And the wheels on the Péquiste campaign bus continue to fall off...
Léger: PLQ 38, PQ 29, CAQ 23, QS 9
With polls from the various pan-Canadian firms being even worse for them...
Angus Reid: PLQ 39, PQ 27, CAQ 25, QS 7 EKOS: PLQ PLQ 40, PQ 27, CAQ 21, QS 9 Ipsos Reid: PLQ PLQ 40, PQ 28, CAQ 18, QS 12 Forum Research: PLQ 41, PQ 29, CAQ 19, QS 7
This is starting to look like a very unexpected landslide.

This today. Forum Research's final poll is PLQ 44, PQ 24, CAQ 23, QS 6. They'll look a bit silly if the scale of defeat is even slightly respectable.
