I don't care if Jesus walked upon the Isle to decree it so ; Middle is a rubbish name.

One of the alternative suggestions was "Mid Mannin".

How would IoM vote if it were a UK constituency?
I'm guessing pretty tory?

Some of the MHKs are Conservative-inclined, and some are former Conservative activists from the UK, but not all. Steve Rodan was a Liberal candidate in the 1979 election. There is also a Manx Labour Party which has had more or less continuous representation.

The Manx National Anthem calls it the land of home rule so it would probably vote Manx Nationalist.
At present the Isle of Man is in the rare position of being able to trade with the EU without tariffs, but subject to none of the laws of the EU.

That would be like saying Sussex should be called South (something) because Sussex was too vague. Middle has a specific meaning on the Island beyond just 'the middle'

People on the Island like to jokingly say it's fifty years behind the mainland, and there is quite a reactionary current to some of the politics there, but I doubt ukip would get much support there (bnp might get more). Really its much more like a parish council than a state government, and personalities are far more important. I say that as someone who has had two relatives in the house of Keys, four close friends, and about a dozen people I was at school with sent while on the move somewhere

I don't care if Jesus walked upon the Isle to decree it so ; Middle is a rubbish name. The French have a Centre.

To clarify I suggested UKIP in the sense of they would want 'Independence FROM the UK'

Loire Atlantique is the stolen bit of Breizh.
