There's also no capital in November, which even the most basic autocorrect should have picked up.

Perhaps the most interesting leaflets of the Derby by-election campaign for one of the independents, Juliet Edgar, can be seen on her Facebook hereLabour, UKIP and Juliet Edgar have all leafleted the area I'm not sure about the other parties. Labour should win by miles of course but it will be interesting to see how UKIP do given that when Paul Nutall stood they used to do quite well. It will be also interesting to see if Edgar's left of Labour anti-politics leaflets get her votes in Derby ward. I have leafleted Derby ward in the past (when one of the sitting Labour councillors defected to the Lib Dems) and suspect turnout on a cold day like todays will be very low maybe below 20% but I haven't been involved in the campaign at all so this is nothing more than suspicion. Derby ward is Joe Benton's home ward.

Ah memories of printing thousands of leaflets for myself only to discover, having ripped open the cardboard box, "Working With You, Working Fir You" DAMNIT There is a Brookhouse Farm Estate in Crewe. Yes, we once put out a leaflet referring to the Brookfield Farm Estate! Too much listening to the b****y Archers!

Here is some background to the by-election in the Bronglais ward of Aberystwyth Town Council in the County of Ceredigion. Couple of other notes - Chris Griffiths hadn't attended the last 7 Council Meetings at last count and I believe he has now graduated from the Uni and moved to South Wales.... Whether or not illness was involved, this by-election was pretty dead certain There was no LD candidate at County level in 2012 because of a nomination form error (not my patch back then) - but it would have been Richard Morgan Ash the candidate we put up for Town Council in 2012, although he was a paper candidate. This is Plaid's strongest ward in the county and even a good LD result here would be earthshattering. A lot of Plaid politicians who have since moved up the ranks started out here, including the current AM Elin Jones and former MP (now MAWW Regional AM) Simon Thomas and it has a frequent history of Plaid causing by-elections due to resignations. I believe, from those longer in the tooth than I that no seat in the ward has been won by anyone other than Plaid since the 70s. And this should probably come with a disclaimer, I'm pretty heavily involved with the LibDem campaign for the by-election The local party have selected out best candidate in a decade and worked the ward hard and I hope (as do my feet) that the result will be much better for us this time than it has previously. Turnout will likely be around 20-30% depending on the rain - it's generally a high turnout ward, although somewhat depressed by the 1000 odd student voters. I'm assuming that Neuadd Pantycelyn is in the ward? And not irrelevant to Plaid's success?

Reports of the Police being called to polling stations at Harrow on the Hill, to combat intimidation from Harrow First (Independent Labour) supporters. Unconfirmed rumours of two arrests.
