Ja, they signed their pact with PD 3 days ago. So the 2 lists will be linked. Therefore they can bypass the national threshold. They only require to get 50,000 preferences for their top candidate to confirm the seat.

What interest PD has to give them one of their seats?

What interest PD has to give them one of their seats? Because otherwise they won't get the 150,000 or so votes the SVP can garner in Südtirol.

Big win for PD, over 40% of the vote. Grillo at 21/22%, Silvio at 16%, Lega at 6%. Tsipras list and Nuovo Centro Destra at around 4%, on knife edge to pass the threshold. Brothers of Italy below it, in mid 3s

That is an astonishingly good result for the PD.
In other news a brand of probiotic drink has been launched in Italy with the slogan "more immunity than Berlusconi".

That's a pretty good result for Grillo's mob too. I wonder which, if any, grouping they will end up in?

Or set up another one all of their own, or...Whenever I hear their name I keep thinking of petrol stations in the 70s "one free with every gallon of five star". or the 90s group from Romford.

That's a pretty good result for Grillo's mob too. I wonder which, if any, grouping they will end up in? It looks like a disaster for Grillo from where I am looking at things. He was talking about taking first place but has seen a huge swing to PD. Grillo is paying the price for being a total dilettante and refusing to deal with the PDs. This left power of veto with Berlusconi as long as the attitude prevails.
