Were you planning to do a John Major style PEB where you get driven to the street where you grew up and say 'it's still there! It's still there!'

When I was exceptionally young (maybe prior to 1979) I went to the playgroup in Harvington and then went to Norton C of E School and when pondering if I could stand for the Greens somewhere gave ponderation to Droitwich and Evesham in the general election, but when I looked on Google Earth found that the school I had attended was no longer there, and the house I used to live in Evesham could not be found and so decided against it in the end. Were you planning to do a John Major style PEB where you get driven to the street where you grew up and say 'it's still there! It's still there!' No, of course not, I would be a Green candidate to get Green votes, but during the campaign when I had a spare moment I would have liked to have gone and seen the school again and just confirm some memories that are at best hazy, the same with the house I used to live in, but when I looked and couldn't find them I then knew that I had lost my connection to that area and that if I went there I would probably never really feel as though I had lived there.

Presumably people have already seen her name on postal ballots. So therefore she will appear on ballots which are presented to electors on polling day too?

It appears she withdrew before the deadline, it's just no-one here noticed until now.

For what it's worth, we seem to be making an effort in the Wychavon wards (presumably particularly the one where we are second). There have been several appeals from the regional party to go and help, which would suggest a reasonable level of activity. Our 2nds beat Harvington last week if that's a good omen (mind you, it's one of those clubs I've never made runs against)

After all, it was held by the Lib Dems til 2007, and the main challenger has mostly been independents since then, and Labour was only close in 2023. A by-election would be the right circumstance for a strong LD campaign to make a comeback.
