I do think, sanders, that you should be really grateful for the lengths that several contributors have gone to to help you avoid potential legal trouble, despite the fact that you have been really pretty annoying in the eyes of most of the forum members for quite a long time and in some cases insulted the contributors concerned. I implore you, for your own sake, to think before jumping off at the deep end doing stuff that you really don't fully understand. The advice to find a political party that suits your ideology, join it & become active in it is quite good advice, and you could do much worse than to adopt it. I would suggest that, whatever the result, you wait a while before again standing for election, and gain some more relevant experience. If of course you are adopted by a political party as their candidate, which could happen in the future if you listen and learn, then a lot of the stuff that you are currently required to do as an Independent will be done for you by your party's Agent. Once again, please show more self-awareness, and listen more to constructive criticism. (EDIT : you haven't done anything illegal yet, but you were in danger of doing so if you hadn't read what some contributors have told you.) He said he photocopied some handwritten letters. That's 'printed materials' without an imprint unfortunately. They have an imprint! Please delete - borderline libellous. I shall be contacting my solicitor if this post isn’t removed.

I'm not aware that she is a wrong 'un in that sense. I'm referring to a couple of people in particular who are based in the NW. I would like to end right to buy but neither the Hackney Greens nor the Hackney Labour Party has any power to do so. It's a matter for central government. I hope that the Hackney Greens pointed that out to the voters. We and they know that but I guess the hope is that if the Greens ever do take Hackney it would persuade Labour to rethink its stance on the policy. I knew Zoe would get trounced but we wanted to try to shift the Overton window. We knew they without SV it was impossible for us to win but we threw everything at it. The Hackney Greens are optimistic about London Fields, Stoke Newington and 2026.

Delivering 1,000 leaflets would take at least 6 hours, and more likely 10. How much does it take to write out each one? A third of those are photocopied - someone recommended it. I did it, but I don't like the machines. They sound like a ghost is locked inside or the devil himself. I have been burning the midnight oil to handwrite around 700 of them and counting. I believe we are competitive and I welcome the forum's support and or constructive commentary. Then go into a shop and get them to photocopy it for you. Mail Boxes or Rymans or the like.

I shall be contacting my solicitor if this post isn’t removed. You don’t have a solicitor. Stop making things up. Any solicitor who takes you on as a client based on your campaign to date is a fool. And that’s putting it politely. Seriously go to bed. Tomorrow wake up, go for a walk with your wife, enjoy your weekend and comeback here on Monday.

Keep your wig on - you’re obviously missing the subtle joke about the meaning of the word “print” (in contrast with handwriting). Surely the arcane but germane point is that the hand written notices did it is reported have a hand written 'imprint'; but once they are copied onto a fresh 'printed' document, that document of itself must bear a printed imprint as all printed documents must have an imprint and the content of the hand written material copied is quite irrelevant.

I have a solicitor having done a prenuptial agreement in 2022 with my now wife. Please stop patronising me. I took a break for a week to focus on the campaign trail and am now back.

I have a question for weld/sanders.
Do you maintain your opinions on here that someone who has worked at McDonald's cannot lead a British political party? Or that because a South Asian-origin Conservative leader lost an election, said party should not consider South Asians again?
Are these your publicly stated views, for the record? Because surely your would-be constituents deserve to know this in advance before voting.

The post wasn't 'borderline' libellous; it wasn't within a hundred miles of being libellous. I have been sued for libel, and threatened several times, so I have studied the subject. Don't waste your money on a solicitor.

It’s a bit Gallowayesque, threatening with legal action and doing bugger all.
I want to address this to sanders. When we broke through and won what was supposed to be a safe Lib Dem ward, we did it not just by activity on the doorstep, but by putting out (to EVERY household) professional-looking leaflets, which were snappy and caught the mood of the local people. If you want to win elections you have to put out leaflets that look good and are easy to read. Please heed this.

Kudos to Kemi. 2) No. That would be absurd in the year of our lord 2024.

Well, don't. There was no hint of irony or playing devil's advocate in those posts. They did not reflect well on you & it would be best if you said what you actually believe if you must post here. Which you need to do a very great deal less often.
