I refer to the forthcoming by-election in Carmarthenshire, Llanedi, Llanedi. This is a single member ward, with two candidates nominated - one of whom is Wayne Erasmus, standing for Gwlad.

Llanedi Community Council have a section in their council meetings, where members of the public can speak - and I thought colleagues would be interested in the presentation at full council on 17 July.

Mr Wayne Erasmus

Mr Erasmus offered his views in relation to the Ladies Gym which is being established at Canolfan Gwili. He was of the opinion that by making the facility a Ladies only gym, then this is not inclusive for the whole of the Community. He also enquired as to the Council's policy with regard to attendance at the gym by transgender individuals. It was confirmed that the Ladies Gym is only a small portion of options available to members of the public as the Council has partnered with Actif Sport as organised by Carmarthenshire County Council who will provide a range of activities for all age groups and genders at the centre and there will also be other operators offering exercise activities such as dance, yoga, karate etc.
