There could be a multitude of reasons, still, if it allows for more Green councillors in Central London ahead of the 2026 locals, I am not complaining

"If" is the important word there. The Greens have consistently failed to get over the line in any recent Hackney by-election and only in the two De Beauvoir contests did they even get close. Stoke Newington is a stronger ward for the Greens than the others that have seen by-elections in the past couple of years, but it's still not somewhere they can take for granted.

Redcar & Cleveland, Longbeck (2027). A notice of vacancy has been published - I presume this will be resignation of Luke Myer (Labour) who is the new MP for Middlesbrough South & East Cleveland.

West Berkshire, Basildon (2027). Laura Coyle (Liberal Democrat) has been removed from the list of councillors.  Now added back.
West Berkshire, Thatcham North East (2027). Lee Dillon (Liberal Democrat) has been removed from the list of councillors. He is now the MP for Newbury. Now added back
West Berkshire, Thatcham West (2027). Jeff Brooks (Liberal Democrat) has been removed from the list of councillors. confirmed below to still be a councillor.

Thanks - I'd initially thought it might be multiple resignations timed to coincide with with Dillon, but since two have been added back and you've confirmed the third, must be a website error.

The lady at West Berkshire was updating the committee membership on Mod.gov and in error and had not realised she had deleted profiles, not just the committee - so she was extremely grateful when I made the query  so thank u to you too.

The Greens didn't win De Beauvoir no, but they will walk Stoke Newington and probably snatch London Fields from Labour too. I estimate that Labour carried Stoke Newington by about 5% in the 2023 Hackney Mayoral election, so lukewarm margin at best. I suspect those will be on the same day which will help Labour, however.
