irish observer, your posts are very interesting and illuminating. One factor sometimes missed on this forum, oddly enough, is that Ireland is an island, by which I mean the goings on in GB are not of full consequence of the people living in NI with another country south of the border. You're perfectly right to point out that NI has to look to Dublin in a post-Brexit world. The island, small-i, needs economic growth on both sides of the border. No MEPs from the North damages the ability to reach out to a global audience; having an Irish voice is vitally important. It's striking that SF is the largest party up against unionism divided like a pack of cards between UUP, DUP, TUV, and an independent. Brexit was won by a united Leave campaign; Irish reunification could be won by a united Nationalist campaign.
