It will be interesting to see who stands here. Hannah should still have enough even if SF and the greens stand. Can't for the life of me understand how Alliance constantly poll so well here with poor candidates

One of two they won last time out, which should in theory make it a prime Alliance target. Claire Hanna got a huge anti-Brexit tactical vote in 2019 but she’ll probably be safe if she’s personally popular?

My sense is that Hanna is a good fit for the seat and remains personally popular. I suspect the Alliance vote will tick up, because there's much less incentive to vote tactically against the DUP with them focused almost entirely on defence, but even if SF stand I suspect the best Nicholl can hope for is a distant second place (and Alliance certainly aren't going to resource this in preference to North Down, Belfast East or Lagan Valley.)

This seat is hotly tipped to be renamed Belfast Soyth and Mid Doyn at the next boundary review.

Unionist gain is possible but requires there to only be one Unionist candidate and the SDLP also need to stand. Even at that it’s really a turn out game It’s currently an SDLP seat, so I think they might

Sinn Fein have confirmed that they will not have a candidate for this seat. That should confirm Clare Hanna's re-election, despite the growing strength of Alliance in these parts.

All over in SB. Hannah to win big. Alliance can't complain as they are going to benefit in EB,ND and LV

I was aware of that but in fairness I think they’ve decried it as a mistake and stayed away from pacts and standing aside since, even last time out when it was being sold as anti-Brexit pacts rather then sectarian
