Well
Conservative majority of 843, which means that Andrew Bowie is toast anywhere in England, but happily for him his adversaries are the SNP who are arguably even more discredited than the Tories
I have not been nice about Andrew over time, so I wish to qualify that. He is not a bad lad. He is dripping wet and has no actual principles but that needs to be seen in the context of Tories regarding having actual principles as evidence of a lack of pragmatism. His wife Maddie is very nice and I am puzzled by her maiden name of Clarke as I would swear that she was Swedish
Further, I am overly negatively influenced by Bowie's charmed elevation from having failed (Ok, not failed, but certainly not passed) Naval College, to a minimum wage job on Better Together, carrying the bags of Ian Duncan MEP, the Liam Kerr MSP, then being Imposed as candidate for WAnK under Ruthie for the snap 2017 election. all despite not actually being gay, the usual route to preferment at that time.
He then was PPS first to Matt Handcock at DCMS then to Theresa May and TBF has never dropped the ball. He is now Minister For Nuclear Power which he never mentions. The very boast that would win my love. I have never forgiven him for denouncing Tesco for charging 2p difference at its filling stations in Westhill and Banchory, critically when I was away for the weekend, so I came home to discover that Andrew Lilico and Krisitian Neimitz had denounced him and my worship of them was such that I had no option but to pile in on him too. While I was a Conservative Councilor. I still think that anti market bollocks was written by Cllr Robbie Withey who later gained fame by threatening to kill a constituent. Obvz Robbie has long since been rehabilitated, whereas I am banned sine die
Andrew is OK but I am no longer on the voters roll as it would cost me council tax on a home I only visit to cut the grass

Cllr. Glen Reynolds. The SNP candidate. Really obnoxious piece of work. Corbynite twat.
Labour used to have a really nice lad called Barry Black and the Lib Dems went from having the 3rd Bt of Crowmallie to an ex Tory-Student who offered Andrew Bowie outside in the car park.
I think this is a two-horse race for now.

Studies Animal Behaviour at Aberdeen University. Is that another way of saying he studies student behaviour?

Swinney set to announce quite a left wing manifesto so they can kiss goodbye to regaining this seat then.

Which is a a stupid game to play given the polls – if they'd played their cards right they could be close to gaining the six Tory seats to counteract some of their Central Belt losses. The best they can hope for from this strategy is that they might lose a few Central Belt seats by a slimmer margin than they would have otherwise, such is Labour's baked in advantage even with them approximately equal in the polls.

Yes, with us on 14% or thereabouts I would not at all be surprised, except for Berwick that would probably surprise me. I don't see why people on this forum and elsewhere are so bullish about us picking up seats, I am deeply concerned looking at the polls. Though, I stress, that's just my reading. I am not involved at this election, so I cannot give any insights into canvassing etc.

I have gone for Conservative hold in that (I presume you mean the Scottish Berwickshire rather than the English Berwick) but am not sure about the 2 Dumfriesshire seats yet.

There will be a significant recovery in the Lib Dem vote. Their candidate Michael Turvey a near neighbour of mine and is husband of Cllr Yi-Pei Chou Turvey, who is basically Eve from Killing Eve. Labour will advance from Corbyn deposit losing territory to their natural 10%. The only fields that are voting Tory are in the hands of less than five hereditary landowners. None of this helps Andrew Bowie.
Glen Reynolds however does help Andrew Bowie.
Really too close to call
