As per other threads. Party share at recent elections within the constituency: Edit: How could I forget the NYC Mayor election? It was only last month.
NYC Mayor 2024: Labour: 38.4% Conservative: 32.4% Liberal Democrat: 8.8% Independent2: 7.7% Green: 6.9% Independent1: 5.8%
NYC 2022: Labour: 33.6% Conservative: 33.2% Independent: 13.3% (8 out of 15) Green: 6.8% (9 out of 15 non-overlapping with LibDem) Localists: 5.8% (4 out of 15 in Whitby area) LibDem 4.9% (6 out of 15 non-overlapping with Green) Other: 2.4% (6 out of 15)
My very sketchy extrapolation to pretend everybody had 15 candidates gives me: Labour: 30.0% Conservative: 29.6% Independent: 11.9% LibDem: 10.9% Green: 10.2% Localists: 5.2% Other: 2.2%
GEN 2019: Conservative: 55.5% Labour: 34.8% LibDem: 6.1% Yorkshire: 3.6%

I do know a lot of people around the Whitby area lost some sizeable chunks of money investing in this mine with the original owners before they were taken over by Anglo .

This was always going to be lost by the Tories anyway but on which planet would posh London banker Roberto Weedon-Sanz be a good fit for Scarborough and Whitby?

This wasn't his first General Election as he stood in Doncaster in 2019.
