If Ribble Valley swings from Conservative to Labour, I should be extremely surprised !! I haven't got a hat to eat, nor do I have sawdust to plait ... you get my drift !! welcome to the Vote UK forum Hat-Eating Social (I think The Bishop is organising it?)

Fylde has a much more solid Conservative base due to in no small part the affluence of Lytham St Anne's, which remained resolutely Conservative even in last year's local elections. Isn't Fylde also pretty much Retirement Central? Also I think the Conservatives probably made a smart choice in picking the former Lancashire PCC in Fylde as clearly he was someone who knew the patch who couldn’t be depicted as a carpetbagger like certain others. "Retirement Central" keeps on changing, mind. A 66-year-old at this election was in their thirties when Blair came to power.
