Is that a passing bandwagon to jump on?

I knew Michael Lavalette, and was a councillor. I believe they will be standing from the Preston Independents. Palestine is certainly an issue, but this will be a left-wing candidate not just Palestine.

In his defence, Lavalette has been pretty consistent in his platform for 20 or so years, even if you don't like his platform. And on that note, is he still a Swuppie?

Presumably he is competing with veteran Trot Lavalette for the Gaza vote. The really extraordinary thing though is the three-way split in the Brexity vote.

Ten, for a very low-profile constituency? What on earth is the longest ballot of this election going to look like?!

Lavalette elsewhere makes references to being selected by "Preston Independents", and to Galloway's success - but is not listed by the Gallowayites as a candidate who has their support.

Longest ballot paper here, beating the 2000 byelection by one.

Isabella Metcalf-Riener listed on the Green Party website as a candidate here. Odd that they've selected a Lancaster councillor here, but still a strong candidate.

Bhailok is certainly using up as much money as he can afford. Leaflets, digital advertising, and fly posting! ]

Ten, for a very low-profile constituency? What on earth is the longest ballot of this election going to look like?! There was a parliamentary by-election in Canada last week for the Toronto-St Paul riding in which there were 84 candidates. I imagine that won't be surpassed.

Leaflets, digital advertising, and fly posting! ] He's got a reasonably sized business empire behind him - have you seen what Deepdale is like with placards and signs at the moments? I've not been down there for a couple weeks, but would expect him to get most support from there. He's sent quite a few glossy leaflets out too.

Just scrolling through Facebook first thing, got a Michael Lavalette video. Lots of talking heads to camera, "published by Preston Independents"
