Not Andrew's fault but I find it funny that the map he used omits that 2nd largest village in the Desborough ward Wilbarston that he mentions. It's really weird - it's not just the placename missing but the grey color for a settlement - making the streets within it visible. I was decidedly unimpressed with Wilbarston when I visited while producing my profile. The small towns and large villages in Northamptonshire are really quite unattractive. I exempt Oundle, which is a pleasant town. Desborough itself is quite depressing too. I'd prefer Uckfield any day. I went to Desborough once but remember very little about it. Nearby Rothwell was much nicer.

I wonder if Cornwall counts in Looe or Truro? I can say its Truro with a postcode of TR1 Are they mad? It's about a hour's drive from Looe to Truro.

Strong result for the red team in Cornwall but we would have loved five of those votes in Uckfield instead

Must admit I was hoping it would at least be a bit closer than that - why are voters in Northants so determined to vote Tory at local level despite their discredited councils?

Are the progressive alliance brigade having their usual meltdown on Twitter? I reckon I can answer that without even looking on Twitter!

Please note the large disparity between Labour candidates last time, with a large excess vote for one P Sawford ….
