I should imagine that Ventnor has been a tad windy today.
But at least it has been very mild for anyone venturing out to a polling station.

There's a regular on politicalbetting who's a LibDem on the Isle of Wight, has been in ventnor today, and thinks a Labour win is pretty certain.

Isle of Wight, Ventnor and St Lawrence: 669 ballot papers verified, which is about a 22.3% turnout.

Those changes are in the absence of an Independent candidate from last time. But I think we'll take nearly 70% of the vote any day.

Ummm I wonder if that person was looking at Ventnor itself rather than the whole ward.I wouldn't be at all surprised on those figures if Labour didn't win in Ventnor town. At least he didn't make the stupid mistake of thinking the Lib Dems were going to win.

How appropriate that a thumping Lib Dem win is the final result in yellowperil's time with us in the competition and on the forum. Wishing you a long, happy and healthy life beyond this madhouse

I predicted a C win in the Isle of Wight as according to the statement of nominations the LD candidate has an address in Newport whereas the other two were locals; and also because of my memories of Ventnor and St Catherine's making me see a Labour win as not very likely, even if he is the town mayor .... he did well to get close, though.

Yes, and all added to the LDs. I make their percentage 60.6% I wonder if in the excitement somebody pressed the 9 key rather than 0, something I find myself doing all the time. I usually spot it and change it, though!
