The division would have been close between Labour and the Conservatives this May, with the Conservatives probably a little in front.

Peter MacDonald is former Councillor for Sheppey Central - elected as a Conservative in 2019 and who failed to defend as an independent this year.

I suspect Swale may be part of a deal with the Swale Independents, but there is certainly a shortage of Greens this week.

Don't think there is an SI /Green agreement in Minster Cliffs seat. Green supporters have said they will vote Labour but there's no deal. Parties had very little time to get nominations in, not time to be doing deals. It is a fact that three of the four candidates stood in the other Minster seat in May and were not elected. Two Tories got elected along with one SI.

They were out again en masse this morning - possibly 25 of them.

Delivering two leaflets together, one of which urges voters to register for a postal vote by August 30th...

That would be mildly amusing in itself, but it doesn't exclude EVERYTHING! There's a small part of that residential area, pressing against the back wall of the industrial premises, that is in Liverpool rather than Knowsley.
